Arrow FM 92.7

Where it all began

We never thought a simple request from a local radio station would lead to a revolutionary breakthrough in broadcast technology. But that's exactly what has happened.

It was 2017 when Arrow FM approached us with a seemingly straightforward challenge: add cameras to their radio studio for live broadcasting. We found a solution using audio-based triggering, but it relied on an ASIO translation layer. Everything seemed fine until 2019 when disaster struck. The developer of the crucial ASIO component vanished, and suddenly, our entire system came crashing down.

Its at this point that we realised, if we wanted to solve this problem, we would have to build the solution ourselves. There was a gaping hole in the market, and we had the skills to fill it. With determination and a clear vision, we dove headfirst into creating VVD.

Little did we know, this was just the beginning. As word spread about VVD, other radio stations came knocking. Each new request for features was like a lightbulb moment, illuminating the vast potential of what we'd created.

That's how VVD was born – not just as a piece of software, but as a comprehensive solution for automated camera switching. What started as a small project for one local station had evolved into a game-changer for the entire industry.

Today, Arrow FM still uses VVD, serving as our testing ground for new features. But more importantly, they stand as a reminder of how a single challenge can spark a revolution, transforming not just one radio station, but the future of broadcasting itself.
